This patient had large unattractive silver fillings. In addition, his teeth were weakened and chipping. The fillings were removed and with the remainder of the tooth left in tact, ceramic onlays were placed. Because the onlays bond into position, the end result is stronger teeth, which appear as natural teeth never having fillings. In addition, the bonding cement gives off fluoride, which can stop future decay around the teeth.
