William Pourcho, D.D.S.
Dr. Pourcho, pronounced Porsche-Oh, also answers to Dr. Bill. He is a second generation dentist who worked in his father's dental lab before graduating from the University of Michigan Dental School in 1982.
Dr. Pourcho's father, Eugene, was a highly respected dentist who owned his own in house dental lab to provide his patients with high quality, custom crowns and bridges. He was devoted to continuing education and was an extraordinary mentor to his son. The father and son team worked together in Birmingham, MI for 7 years until Eugene retired in 1989.
Dr. Bill's practice continued to grow as he followed the same commitment to dental continuing education his father had instilled in him. He became well versed in TMJ treatment and Orthodontics as well as general dentistry. He was providing most all dental services except implants-until 1995.
A second mentor, Dr. Paul Mentag and Dr. Bill worked together for 5 years. Dr. Mentag, a pioneer of implant dentistry, showed Dr. Bill how to do complex implant surgeries and bone grafting. Dr. Bill cannot sit still. He has a couple of patents related to dentistry and likes to invent new products. He has not made the next Sham Wow yet, but he is trying.
Dr. Bill is excited to be part of Pontiac Family Dentistry where he can continue to learn more from Dr. Taylor and his team of dental specialists. He is especially grateful to the caring and capable staff at Pontiac Family Dentistry that share his passion for helping people while tolerating his bad jokes.
